Hofcafé bei Mutter Fourage In the nostalgic farmyard ambience of a former hay and straw enterprise you will find a hive of cultural activity today. In addition to a gallery and the culture barn, there is also a cosy café with fresh cakes, drinks and dishes from the daily menu. BrewDog Marienfelde Brewing beer has a long tradition in Berlin. However, since 2019, the BrewDog brewery has been offering a completely new experience and stands out from the wood-panelled flair of traditional breweries: In the Marienpark at the Altes Gaswerk Mariendorf it welcomes its guests with modern, industrial flair and fresh design. All dishes that go well with freshly tapped beer are served – from pretzels and Strammer Max to pizza and burgers. Vegetarians and vegans can also eat their fill here. BrewDog DogTap Berlin, Im Marienpark 23, 12107 Berlin
Café Botanico Fresh ingredients directly from the restaurant’s own 1,000-square-metre permaculture organic garden – this is possible even in the heart of Neukölln. In the kitchen of the charming little restaurant Café Botanico with Mediterranean flair, the main produce used are the daily yields from the restaurant’s garden. The ambience is therefore intentionally kept informal and easy-going. Reserve a table in advance, especially for the evening. Café Botanico Berlin, Richardstraße 100, 12043 Berlin
Hafenbar-Fischerinsel Directly at the Historical Harbour Berlin, surrounded by nostalgic, lovingly restored barges is the Hafenbar-Fischerinsel. The bar itself can be found aboard two old ships: The barge Adonis built in 1929 and the Berlin custom-made barge Renate-Angelika built in 1910. With its special atmosphere directly on the Spree, the Hafenbar-Fischerinsel is the perfect place to enjoy snacks and drinks, especially on sunny days and at sunset. In keeping with the elegant country house ambience with a large brick fireplace and dark wooden beams, you will be served traditional specialities of German cuisine. Dining at the restaurant can be perfectly combined with a day on the beach at the nearby bathing beach or with a hike in the Spandauer Forst.
Wannseeterrassen The restaurant Wannseeterassen is located in the northern part of the Strandbad Wannsee open-air lido, slightly raised above the beach. With its bar, café and pastry shop, it is a particularly nice place to end a relaxing day at the Wannsee beach in style. Because there you can enjoy the picturesque sunset over the Wannsee with a good meal and an exquisite wine.
Restaurantschiff Alte Liebe The Alte Liebe ship restaurant is one of the oldest waterfront restaurants in Berlin. In the tradition of the special Berlin Kaffenkähne barges, the old freight barge has been welcoming hungry day-trippers and hikers to the northern Grunewald for about 70 years. For refreshment you will find ice-cream sundaes, coffee or even schnitzel. In a nostalgic, wood-panelled ambience with a view of the wildly romantic banks of the Havel, you will feel as if you have been transported back in time by several decades – and you will enjoy a picturesque view of the sunset.

Once there, two floors with sunny terraces and a beautiful view over the Müggelsee, as well as cosy interiors, await you. On the menu you will find Norwegian fish specialities and regional products. Wirtshaus Moorlake Built around 1840, the inn has a long tradition on the beautiful riverside walking trail between Pfaueninsel and Glienicke Bridge in the far west of Berlin. In addition to home-style German cuisine in a nostalgic, wood-panelled ambience – with artistic stucco, paintings and a tiled stove – art and culture also await you here: several times a month the restaurant hosts readings by well-known authors.
Britzer Seeterrassen The Britzer Seeterrassen are very centrally located for an idyllic waterfront restaurant in Berlin: on the beautiful Hauptsee in the picturesque Britzer Garten, in the heart of the Neukölln district of Britz. Seasonal German cuisine and cakes are served in the eye-catching building, which is reminiscent of an earth mound, situated right by the lake. The stylish, bright restaurant is a perfect place to stop on a walk through the beautiful 90-hectare park with meadows, flowerbeds and water areas.
Lindwerder Island Excursions to the enchanting Havel island of Lindwerder should also include a visit to the Restaurant Lindwerder: The stylish and nostalgic establishment welcomes you with a spacious terrace shaded by trees, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view over the water. Mutter Lustig An excursion to Köpenick’s old town should also include a meal at Mutter Lustig, right next to Köpenick Palace on the idyllic Dahmebucht (Dahme bay). The cosy day-tripper restaurant with terrace serves seasonal, predominantly German cuisine in a nostalgic ambience – but you should also take a look at the large selection of cakes and gateaux. The restaurant takes its name from a 19th century washerwoman who was immortalised in a fountain on the shore.
